Sunny Painting (1947)

Even though it's numbered as issue 11, this is the first issue of one of the headlight-iest "good girl" comics of the Golden Age! In my experience, it's also a fairly scarce comic; I suspect many issues were lost to disapproving mothers and wives.

The image above is a commissioned painting by Al Feldstein, which I own! I absolutely love this cover, and I was fortunate enough to be able to contact Al and made a deal for him to paint a cover recreation. The painting is 20" x 24", and looks gorgeous - much better than the photo pictured here! If you look close you'll see I asked Al to swap out Teddy and replace him with Junior, I always thought Junior was much cooler than Teddy.
If you're interested in a cover recreation by one of the greatest comic artists ever, Al's got a website where you can find his e-mail address: http://www.alfeldstein.com
If you can handle his prices I'm sure he'd be happy to accept more business!
